Jazzin at the Shedd - (Joy) Placeholder

Bands play on Shedd's north terrace and inside at the Caribbean Reef. Ticket sales begin at 5 p.m., and the Shedd is open until 10 p.m. (Oceanarium and Wild Reef exhibits are open until 8 p.m.)

Detour JazFunk is the sound of Chicago’s new urban jazz scene. Their music is built on a foundation of old-school R&B’s soulful and funky grooves blended with the melodic improvisations of classic and contemporary jazz. Detour JazFunk includes guitarist Phil Seed, drummer Ben “Jammin’” Johnson, electric bassist Kenery Kent Smith and keyboard wizard Tim Gant.
