"I devour the entire BBC website for breakfast, everyday. I love reading Opendemocracy, Le Monde Diplomatique (english edition), the Guardian, Sight and Sound from Germany - I have a huge collection of current BBC docs - you'd like me (hopefully!)"
Why do you want to join our cozy group? Have you participated in other discussion groups?
"Since I'm not in school, I'd love the space to talk about politics and the world with a group of like minded people! I'm always interested in hearing what other people have to say, so yeah, I'd say I have experience with informal discussion groups."
To help create a sense of community, we would like to learn more about the background and interests of our members. Please tell us something about yourself and what topics you'd like to explore.
"I am interested in the whole world - how it hangs together (if barely), what is happening to it and within it, what are the interesting ideas that people are cooking up within it? I was a sociology major at Cal, and now I'm a student of the world."
